Dr. Maria Ossa (Warren) is a proud Noble County native. She was raised in Dexter City, Ohio, and graduated Valedictorian of the Caldwell High School class of 2013 while also taking classes at Washington State Community College.
Educational Background
- Nova Southeastern University: Attended in Ft. Lauderdale, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology.
- The Ohio State University: Returned to Ohio to attend dental school, where she graduated with honors and was inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society.
Still not feeling like she was quite done, Dr. Ossa decided to pursue orthodontics. She completed her orthodontic residency, also at The Ohio State University, in 2022, obtaining her orthodontic specialist certificate and a Master’s degree in Science.
Personal Life
Dr. Ossa met her husband, Alex, while attending school in Florida, and they have been inseparable since. He quickly made Ohio his home and joined Maria at Ohio State to complete his Electrical Engineering degree. They were married in January 2020 and welcomed their son, Enzo, in December 2022. He is their pride and joy, and they love watching him learn and grow every day.
Professional Achievements
Dr. Ossa is very passionate about knowledge, education, and staying at the forefront of information and technology in the orthodontic field. Because of this, she found it very important to take the last step in her education journey and become a board-certified orthodontist with the American Board of Orthodontics. In February 2024, Dr. Ossa achieved this goal and became a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthodontics. She is very proud to be able to serve Southeastern Ohio and the Mid-Ohio Valley as the only board-certified orthodontist for over 50 miles.
